gidouille On discogs one finds Mikolas Chadima compared to Zappa, but I think a more apt comparison can be made to John Cale, in his combination of raw rock 'n roll, gravitas, poetic sensibility and composerly craft. He's an inventive guitarist, and alto sax player, and has one of the quintessential Czech rock voices. This album is a 20 year retrospective of live recordings, and is one of the greatest bargains on Bandcamp, 2 CDs worth of exquisitely recorded brilliance for $5.75 (or more). Favorite track: Flanďáci.

MAGMA s'est autoproclamé comme étant le meilleur groupe de l'univers mais ce titre n'est pas usurpé car il ne fait justement qu'un avec l'univers, il appartient à toutes et tous. Christian Vander pousse cette logique jusqu'au bout dans Kãrtëhl, album dans lequel il n'est plus le seul compositeur — une première depuis Üdü Wüdü ! Il ne s'agit pas d'une grande épopée mais de chansons qui fonctionnent indépendamment, qui peuvent ainsi évoluer en très peu de temps. C'est lumineux, chaud et intense ! Jordan Vauvert
